Today we have been trying to find out which material will make the best waterproof coat for Winnie the Pooh! We tested plastic bag, felt, paper towel, bubble wrap and net. Poor Pooh got wet a few times but we ended up finding out that the plastic materials kept him dry!

Unfortunately David Bowie our Giant African Snail, became unwell and died. However we are really pleased that one of the giant snail eggs has hatched and now Wrens are the proud owners of Bob Marley. The children take care of him keeping him moist and feeding him with cucumber and cabbage.
Today we have made water gauges to measure rainfall. We will check them every day to see how much rain has fallen.
On Tuesday (19/01/16) Wrens were lucky to have a full day of art activities. They all made wonderful fish which will be displayed as a whale. Their work will be on show in the classroom very soon.
Just to let parents know that Welly Wednesday starts on the 13th January. Please can you provide wellingtons for this. The children will take part in a range of outdoor activities including bark rubbings, nature crowns, hedgerow hunts and mud pie making in our wonderful mud kitchen. All children will be provided with all in one warm coats for this weekly afternoon session.
