This week we have been learning about bees as part of our Up, Up and Away theme. We looked at some real honeycomb from a hive and made honey sandwiches. Winnie the Pooh even got to taste a honey sandwich!
This week the children made their first visit to the Secret Garden. They looked very carefully and drew the things they found on their clipboards. Please see our Welly Wednesday section for more pictures.
On Thursday Mr Nolan came to work with us and he brought his three robots. We had so much fun trying to work out how to make them move! The dinosaur one made us laugh as he tried to bite our fingers! We used the remote controls to make the robots move forwards, backwards and sideways.
Today we learnt all about Bonfire Night and the story of Guy Fawkes. We built our own bonfire, made a Guy, pretended to toast our marshmallows over the fire and coloured lots of firework pictures. We hope everyone has a safe and fun Bonfire Night!
On Wednesday we learnt all about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We made clay Diwas, wrote Diwali cards, made paper lanterns, decorated rangoli patterns and learnt about the story of Rama and Sita. We love learning about different customs and religions!
