This week has been 'Anti-Bullying' week at our school and across the country. In Wrens we have been learning how to be a good friend. We have been involved in various activities some of which are:
collage people made into a display, circle time, talking about how to be a good friend, small group work looking at being a good friend, singing songs and reading the Topsy and Tim Story, Help a Friend. You can access this story on, You Tube using this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhH9NCtaZt8 On Thursday we learnt about the Hindu festival of Diwali. The children coloured wrangoli patterns, made diwa lights, drew menhndi patterened hands and made burfi sweets.
This week we have had a day learning all about the history of bonfire night. We have talked about how to keep safe when we go to watch fireworks. We have made a "guy", rockets and we have created fireworks with sparkly play-dough. We have also sequenced the story of Guy Fawkes and have been counting fireworks and singing number rhymes.
