Thank you to everyone who came to Wrens sports morning. The children loved hearing everyone cheer them on. Take a look at the photos and look at all those smiley faces.
This term, Wrens are really enjoying their 'Rugby Tykes' sessions on Monday mornings. This week was all about ball control and passing skills in teams.
On Wednesday we had a special visitor in Wrens. Becky from the Vale Wildlife Hospital came to talk to us about the work she does. Unfortunately she couldn't bring any wildlife in to see us as they were either too poorly or too young but she showed us lots of pictures and told us lots of fascinating information! We learnt about all the different animals that they look after and how they rescue, rehabilitate then release them.
On Monday in 'Forest School' Wrens were learning how to be mindful. The children listened to the birds and watched the glitter sparkle in the Buddha bottles that they have made.
Wrens enjoyed a wonderful trip to the zoo for the launch of our new theme 'Paws, Claws and Roars!' They saw lots of animals but they particularly loved seeing the lions and gorillas. This week we have been writing about our favourite animal.
We hope that you enjoyed your Easter break and loved seeing all the Wrens back on Tuesday with lots of smiling faces.
We have begun our new theme Paws, Claws and Roars and looking forward to our visit to the zoo next week. This week all the children have made the most of the beautiful sunshine with lots of outdoor activities including drawing maps of our forest school area, investigating wildlife and planting vegetables with Mr Tomkins who kindly volunteered to come in and help the children plant tomatoes, broccoli and runner beans. |
